Brainstorming: Exchange Reporter 2013

Hello dear readers,

maybe some of you know my Exchange Reporter Michael Kunesch has pointed out to me that there are some problems with Exchange 2013. According to feedback from some users, the update function and the installation are also a bit tricky.

As I haven't had the time to fix the errors for some time now, I would like to take the opportunity to write a new version for Exchange 2013. However, the question I have is, is there still a need?

Like the current version, the new version will not perform any monitoring functions, but will only provide a report on the Exchange organization.

So if you would like to get involved, please feel free to contact us. by mail contact me, or write a comment. I'll just start with some brainstorming for Exchange Reporter 2013:

  • New modular structure, not one big script
  • DAG Support
  • More reliable statistics on mails
  • Malware protection statistics
  • Statistics on the distribution of client accesses
  • Storage space statistics
  • Database statistics
  • Backup status
  • Selectable report interval
  • Selectable report format (mail, app, website?)
  • appealing design
  • BPA analysis
  • Simpler installer, simpler update function

What do you think? Feedback is expressly welcome! Would anyone like to help?

Greetings,

Frank
