Hello,
I am in the process of migrating an Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2016.
I have now moved a mailbox to the new Exchange as a test and have created a Pfproxy mailbox which is responsible for the public folders.
Now I am asked for access data every time I start Outlook. If I click away the dialog, I also have no public folders, if I enter the access data, I have public folders.
I followed the instructions:
https://www.frankysweb.de/migration-von-exchange-2010-zu-exchange-2016-teil-2/
Any ideas?
The only thing I don't understand in the instructions: Where does the DNS entry outlook-int.frankysweb.de come from?
I don't have one on my computer. Do I have to create it?
The standard things like: Outlook profile reset, delete all access data in Windows and Outlook profile reset have all been tried.
Thank you in advance :)
Hi,
This is probably due to a misconfiguration in Autodiscover.
Have the public folders been moved correctly, as described in the article you linked to?
Regarding the DNS address outlook-int.domain.de, it is in the instructions.
This entry is used so that the Exchange Server forwards the requests to Exchange 2010 if the mailboxes are not on Exchange 2016.
The DNS entry "outlook-int.domain.de" was used in Exchange 2010 for the Cas array, which is no longer required for the current Exchange Server.
Greetings Phil
The public folder is still on the EX2010. Only one mailbox is already on the EX2016.
I created the proxy mailbox on the old EX2010 and set up the forwarding of the public folders.
When I enter the password in Outlook, I see the public folders, but when I click on "Cancel", I don't see them.
Outlook itself works with the mailbox in both cases without any problems.
