Hello,
We have recently set up a new Exchange server and have been using a different domain for a long time and have therefore only used the new domain on the Exchange. Now it happens again that emails are sent to addresses on the old domain. Is there a way to automatically reply to messages sent to the old domain without having to set up a mailbox with the old domain for each user?
I have already set up the second domain as an accepted domain, but somehow I'm at a loss...
Best regards
Holger

It won't work that way. What about the old domain? Surely relevant emails will still arrive there? Should they all end up in the orcus now? You can certainly tinker with it, but companies usually handle it in such a way that they are notified of the new domain _in good time_ and monitor it accordingly before it is switched off.
Hardly any relevant mails should arrive, so it's not that dramatic.
However, I have already solved it in a different way. On the Popcon, which collects the mails from the provider and forwards them to the Exchange, there is a function called "Replace domain names". I simply replaced the old domain with the new one. The users still exist in the new domain, so everything is fine now.
Oh well, of course, if you don't mention half of your stuff (e.g. that you POPpt), then ...
I would recommend turning this stuff off, but you'll probably tell me it's working great so far :)
