The new Office 2013 has been available for download for a few days now, so I downloaded and installed it. Here are a few impressions of the new Outlook 2013
Even the installation is simple and the update from Office 2010 to Office 2013 took me about 5 minutes.
The first start has taken place and went very quickly. All data from Outlook 2010 was transferred. Outlook is now gray/white/blue. The buttons are where they were in Outlook 2010
The actions in Outlook are now all a bit animated, I think that's quite nice
The options appear again in the new window as in Outlook 2010
The buttons for "Calendar" and "Email" are now located at the bottom
The calendar now also shows weather information and a quick overview of 2 months. The "Contacts" button has been renamed "People"
Conclusion: The changeover is easy, by and large everything is where you expect it to be. The interface looks tidy and simple. I will test Outlook 2013 extensively over the next few days and then write a report.
