THANKS
Guys, that was quick. On July 28, Andi and I met for the first time to talk about the possibility of cooperation. This gave rise to the idea of the Exchange User Group OWL. Barely two months later, the first EUGO meeting took place.
First of all, Andi and I would like to say a big thank you to all the participants, we didn't expect such a good response and number of participants. If we have to be honest: Our aim was not to sit alone in the Hotel zur Spitze.
A big thank you also goes to Jan Schenk, Dennis Gassen and Mathias Schmidt from Microsoft Germany. Microsoft gave each participant a cool drink and a pizza. So thumbs up for Microsoft.
A big thank you also goes to the team at the Hotel zur Spitze for the smooth running of the event.
Here is a picture from our first meeting:
18 people came to the first meeting and we talked animatedly until about 00:30 a.m. All in all, I think it was a successful evening.
What happens next?
Due to the positive feedback and the high number of participants at our first meeting, Andi and I will stay on the ball and organize further meetings. Over the next few days, we will be thinking about how and when the next meeting should take place. There will of course be corresponding updates here and on Andi's blog.
As you can see in the picture, we occupied two tables, which I don't think was ideal, as there were basically two groups and it made it a bit more difficult to exchange ideas. We will address this and a few other issues at the next meeting.
We are happy to receive feedback, criticism, suggestions and requests by e-mail or as a comment.
When will it continue?
We took away from the discussions that we should implement a certain regularity for EUGO meetings. The majority spoke out in favor of quarterly meetings. I also think this is a good idea, so we will probably organize the next meeting at the beginning of next year. We will announce the date and the status of the planning in good time. Of course, we hope to see as many participants as possible again, but new faces are also very welcome.
Klasse. Hoffe, ich schaff’s beim nächsten Mal dabei zu sein :-)
