Exchange 2010: Script for analyzing backup problems

Ingenious, a script for testing the Exchange VSS Writer has been published in the Exchange Team Blog. I have already spent a lot of time analyzing backup problems. Sometimes it was faulty databases, sometimes faulty volumes, sometimes faulty VSS writers, it's all been there.

Some time ago I described here how a manual VSS backup can be performed for error analysis (or to quickly get rid of log files). The VVTester script uses the same method, only simpler:

I'm really excited, even if Diskshadow has become second nature by now, the script makes it even easier, also in terms of logging. Take a look at it.
