The preview (download) of Exchange is available for download and I have started testing it. This article is first about the installation on a Server 2012 R2.
In the first step, my test environment only consists of a domain controller on Windows Server 2012 R2 and another VM, also with Windows Server 2012 R2, on which Exchange 2016 is installed.
The first step is to install the Active Directory administration tools, the easiest way is via Powershell:
Install-WindowsFeature RSAT-ADDS
Then it is the turn of the remaining prerequisites, which can also be installed using Powershell:

Once the components have been installed, the server needs to be restarted. After the restart, the following packages must be installed:
- .NET Framework 4.5.2 (if not already installed via Windows Update)
- Microsoft Unified Communications Managed API 4.0, Core Runtime 64-Bit
Am besten jetzt noch einmal neustarten, dann kommt es zu keinem Fehler bei der Prüfung der Voraussetzungen. Jetzt kann auch schon das Exchange 2016 Setup gestartet werden. Dazu wird aus dem entpackten Archiv die „setup.exe“ gestartet:
The Exchange 2016 setup starts, I will save myself the trouble of checking for updates at this point.
After a few files have been copied through the setup, you are ready to go:
Read and agree to the license agreement 
Ich wähle die Option „Empfohlene Einstellungen nicht verwenden“
With Exchange 2016, there is only the mailbox role and the Edge Transport role;
I install Exchange on the D drive:
Since there is no Exchange organization in my test environment yet, I can now assign a name
The warnings only indicate that the Active Directory schema is being extended by the setup.
And the installation is already running
The installation is complete, further articles on configuration will follow.
