For me personally, these are the most important new features for Exchange 2016:
- NET Framework 4.7.1 is now supported by Exchange 2013 and Exchange 2016. The current CU should be installed first, then the NET version.
- TLS settings are no longer reset by CUs, but are retained.

Windows Defender and other virus scanners in particular should be deactivated for the duration of the installation, as they tend to cause problems during the update. Windows Defender in particular ensures that Exchange CUs take several hours to install.
