FrankysWeb now enforces HTTPS

My blog has been accessible via HTTPS for a relatively long time now, but until now the unsecured HTTP version has always been available. This was due to links pointing to http://, which broke the encryption. Various inbound links from other websites also point to http://www.frankysweb.de and not to https://www.frankysweb.de. For this reason, I hesitated for quite a long time to make this site accessible exclusively via HTTPS.

But now I seem to have found a working solution, at least my tests were successful so far...

All links in the WordPress database have been switched from http to https and there is a 301 redirect from http to https using HTACCESS. Previously, there were always problems with WordPress plugins that didn't want to work properly. Keep-Alive is also activated so that the encryption does not have to be constantly renegotiated. This has resulted in a significant speed boost for HTTPS connections.

The downloads now also run via HTTPS. There were also problems here from time to time...

If anyone notices any problems, please send me a short e-mail. If this post should simply disappear again, I probably had to import a backup of the database. This post would then not be included in the backup
