Microsoft Technical Summit 2014: End of the second day

The second day of the Microsoft Technical Summit 2014 in Berlin has come to an end for me. This is also the last day for me, because unfortunately I was a bit late and couldn't get a free place for the workshops on the third day.

In the keynote it was quite interesting to see how fast Azure VMs can be, I think over 50,000 IOPS is quite decent, for Azure... for Cloud... Winking smiley

In general, you have to be a bit careful if, like me, you are rather critical of the cloud (regardless of the provider). The advantages are definitely obvious, but the area of application still determines whether the big cloud is worth it or not. Be that as it may, there were again many interesting presentations.

The roundtable was my personal highlight of the day. I would therefore like to thank Florian and all the participants involved for the great opportunity to exchange ideas.

Conclusion of the Technical Summit 2014: I can only recommend everyone to attend, the meeting offers good opportunities to find out about new things and to get in touch with colleagues or Microsoft. Oliver even had a good idea for this page. Thanks for that. Smiley

But now it's time to go home
