Most important new features for Exchange Server 2016
Exchange 2016 DAG on Windows Server 2016
With the KB3206632 the IIS no longer crashes after an Exchange DAG has been created on Server 2016. The update is now a prerequisite for the installation of Exchange 2016 on Windows Server 2016.
.NET Framework 4.6.2
Exchange 2013 and Exchange 2016 now support .NET Framework 4.6.2. .NET 4.6.2 will be a requirement from March 2017 (i.e. for the next CU).
Installation requirements
Exchange 2016 CU4 no longer requires the Windows feature "Desktop display". Only the "Media Foundation" feature is still required.
Changes to the OWA design
There has been a small change to the OWA design. The message field has been given a frame to better delimit it and to align the display with Office 365.
Note
In order to install the CU4 for Exchange Server 2016 on Server 2016, the Windows updates must first be installed (see above). The CU4 is suitable for an update installation as well as for a new installation and is offered as an ISO file.
