The new Exchange Reporter 2010 version is based on the Exchange Reporter 2013 project. In future, both versions will be merged into one version. In contrast to Exchange Reporter version 1.2, version 1.3 offers some advantages:
- Customizable interval
- Modular design
- Support for VMware
- As of version 1.3, Exchange Reporter can be run on a client with Exchange Management Tools
- More beautiful design (a matter of taste, of course)
- More detailed reports
However, the old version is still available for download, but is no longer being developed further.
Please note that PowerShell 4.0 is a prerequisite for this version. If you do not want to install Powershell 4.0 on the Exchange 2010 server itself, you can also use a Windows client with Exchange Management Tools.
The installation and update routine of Exchange Reporter 1.2 was prone to errors in some environments. Therefore, there is no longer an automated update or installation routine (a notification about a version is displayed in the report). How the installation works is described in the manual in the archive.
