Office 365: Support and Recovery Assistant (SaRA)

Microsoft has released the Support and Recovery Assistant (SaRA) for download. SaRA is designed to help resolve problems with the connection to Office 365. SaRA asks the user about the problem and then runs a series of tests to diagnose the problem:

Here is a list of the checks that are carried out:

But does this really have to be the case?

SaRA also sends diagnostic test results to a cloud repository for Microsoft Support Engineers to access and analyze, in case you may need to contact them for further support. This facilitates quick analysis of diagnostic data, without the need for customer to upload any files/data to Microsoft Support.

This point probably fixes 90 % of all errors:

In the end, when all tests pass, SaRA creates a new profile automatically, if no issues are found. (existing mail profiles will not be affected)

So from the admin's point of view, this is more of a circumlocutory issue, because the user helpdesk will have already created a new profile. The results provided by SaRA are not exactly plausible:

I am supposed to have set the CNAME for Autodiscover incorrectly:

Anyway, SaRA can be downloaded here:

But perhaps it is more for the end user...
