If there is a problem with the Exchange servers, you should be able to quickly determine the cause in order to fix the problem. I have therefore written a small script which provides the following information when executed:
- Exchange server and domain controller ping OK?
- Are all Exchange services running?
- Have the databases been started?
- Outlook connection via HTTPs OK?
- Outlook connection via TCP OK?
- SecureChannel of the Exchange OK?
- Mailflow OK?
- Queues empty?
- Ports open?
The script works with Exchange Server 2010 and can be downloaded here:
