Review: The search for a good and simple SPAM filter

I was looking for a good and simple SPAM filter that also works with Exchange 2013. Of course, I prefer products that require little effort to get them up and running. Precisely because anti-SPAM can be a sensitive issue, I wanted a solution that was easy to administer and as convenient as possible for the user.

I have already had a tiresome journey with SPAM filters. For example, I had to learn that for users from the tool industry, "grease nipples" are not offensive, as some filters think, but probably an order, and for pharmacists, "Viagra" is not yet an indication of SPAM.

Anyway, I started searching and came up with a solution:

SPAMfighter advertises with the following words: "Installed in minutes, no configuration required and perfect for small and medium-sized businesses". I tested it. Here is the result:

Including the updates, the installation only took about 3 minutes. There are no surprises during the installation, I like software that you can install with "NextNextFinish" Smiley

After the installation, the basic configuration opens, so it doesn't work completely without configuration, but...

...done. That is manageable.

SPAM-Fighter integrates with Exchange via Transport Agent

The SPAM filter is already active, so I install the plugin for Outlook and OWA

I find the OWA plug-in particularly practical, many SPAM filters send a mail with the mails that have landed in quarantine, so some time can pass between the arrival of a mail that has been incorrectly recognized and the notification of the user.

Now a little insight into the configuration, if you want you can view statistics here, or customize the filter according to your needs, black and white lists can also be maintained:

The user can also view statistics and block or release mails directly

Conclusion: This spam filter can be set up in just a few minutes without any complicated configuration. The statements on the website are correct. I also find the OWA plugin useful. So if you don't use an upstream SPAM filter, you can take a look at SPAMfighter. There is a 30 demo version here:
